Run This Town: CALLING ALL ARTISTS, ACTIVISTS, & VOLUNTEERS 2 Date: Monday, June 21, 2010 Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Brave New Books Street: 1904 Guadalupe St. Suite B Description ATX, STAND UP!! Run This Town is here to give the Hip Hop community in Austin a platform from which to express our views. Writers Painters Rappers Photographers Activists Dancers Producers Designers Poets Singers Musicians DJs Illustrators Film Makers And anyone else who loves Austin and lives Hip Hop At this meeting, we will further discuss the direction that Run This Town will be going, upcoming events, and the roles we can all play in the movement. We will also, again, open the stage up to 10 willing performers. Many rappers went up at the last meeting and some were selected to perform in front of a larger audience at the Run This Town event at Historic Victory Grill. This time around, we hope to also see some visual artists take the stage with some works to display even if digitally – bring your laptop and we’ll hook it up to a projector for a slideshow. Poets, we’d love to hear some spoken word. Dancers, you’ll have room to show your skills on the stage. The link below is a map to the location.
